Hawkins ISD Employees of the Month – September!

We are excited to celebrate our first Employees of the Month for the 2026–2027 school year! These outstanding educators were honored during Monday night’s monthly Board Meeting for the incredible impact they make every day.

High School: John Michael Gattis

Each of these teachers goes above and beyond for their students and plays such an important role in making Hawkins ISD a special place to learn and grow. Their dedication, passion, and commitment do not go unnoticed, and we are so thankful to have them as part of our Hawk family!

A Hawk-Sized THANK YOU!

A huge thank you to Double Barrel Designs for starting our new school year with such a thoughtful surprise! They made a special Hawk coaster for each of our campus employees, and we absolutely love them!

Double Barrel Designs is always so thoughtful and personal with their gifts, and we are incredibly grateful for the way they continue to support and encourage our Hawkins ISD family.

Gym Membership Renewal for the 2026-2027 year will be ready and available on September 2, 2026. Please make sure that you wait to re-register or apply until the 2nd. We will need your proof of residency within the district (any current bill with your name and physical address will be accepted. This also includes previous members). Membership is $120 per eligible person. Payments can be made through "My School Bucks" on the school website or by cash/check at the Administration office. Please be sure to look over membership rules and hours. If rules are not followed your membership could be reviewed or possibly revoked. If you have any questions, please feel free to give the office a call at 903-769-2181.

HAPPY FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL!

What a wonderful morning and first day at Hawkins ISD! We were SO excited to see everyone walk through our doors this morning. The smiles, the excitement, the hugs, and the happy reunions with friends reminded us exactly why we love what we do!

It was also extra special to see some new faces joining our Hawk family. We are so glad you are here!

The first day is officially in the books, and we have a feeling this is going to be a fantastically magical year!!

What an incredible way to kick off the school year!

We are so incredibly thankful for our amazing Hawkins community family for making this last day before school starts such a special one! It truly takes a village and we are blessed to have a community that loves and supports our staff in so many ways.

A huge THANK YOU to Derrick Conde and Scott McKamie with Texas Farm Bureau for preparing a fantastic breakfast for our staff! You helped make sure we started the morning with full hearts and full bellies!

We also want to thank TT&L Electric and Refuel Nutrition and Energy for treating everyone to a free tea to enjoy before the school days begin! It is a very thoughtful way to brighten our day!

We are excited, energized, and as prepared as we can possibly be for the school year ahead! We are ready to welcome our students back and make 2026–2027 a GREAT year to be a Hawk!

A Heartfelt Thank You to Holly Brook Baptist Church!

We want to send a very special THANK YOU to the wonderful members of Holly Brook Baptist Church for blessing our staff with another incredible baked potato luncheon this past week!

It has become such a special tradition for us, and we truly feel like we get to start each school year the right way....with full hearts, full stomachs, and the love and encouragement of our community. The people of Holly Brook Baptist Church always know how to come together and make us feel just how special and appreciated we are.

Thank you for loving on our teachers and staff year after year and for helping us kick off another school year surrounded by such an amazing community.
