SalvaBlog borrowing this from another group.

Speaking, Listening, Reading, and Writing are the areas we work on with our ELLs. Did you know students are stronger in learning to speak and listen in the language before being proficient in reading and writing in English?

Again, I am not taking credit for this graphics, I appreciate it and the creator of it and wanted to share it ๐Ÿ˜Š

Make friends with native speakers, learn the language first, the grammar rules will come as you learn ๐Ÿ’—

Happy Monday!

Here is your daily post! Whenever I talk about English Learners, I feel like I use a ton of acronyms. And when I think about it....there are! From TEFOL to ESL to SIFE to L1 and so on. This is the break down of acronyms that are commonly used and what they stand for. If you work with ELL students and you aren't sure which ones your students fit into or aren't sure what something stands for, ask their ELL teacher. They are your go to source to be able to help you with that info as they know the background of their students. One that is not on this list is SIFE: Students with Interrupted Formal Education.
