Can you?

I’m trying to imagine what this experience would be like.

If we could hear, sense, feel the effects of everyday things that in a different way, what would change?

Imagine the wind blowing through a tree, all the leaves stray fly off.

Imagine the wind blowing through the clouds, what’s the effect?

If you could hear the sound of the rising Sun, what would that sound like?

Imagine your body feeling the rumbling of mountain as it stood still. How does it feel?

Things to ponder on a random day…

How we lose touch with our Self

We build thoughts and stories that seem to provide a way into our future.

This massive structure, we live in, feel safe, and comfortable.

It blocks our view of the grander scheme of what is happening around us.

We miss it, because it is broken up into pieces by the perception we have built.

The beauty of a sunset reflected on a landscape of clouds is out of sight, unseen, and then disappears.

The healing beauty cannot be taken in.

The light of life missed, by the concrete skyscraper of our mind.

We can get stuck in our thoughts, believing that what we think about something is Truth and it becomes a belief.

If we can be open to allowing our thoughts to be a passing storm, allow the chaos to move out of our minds, we can let go.

Unattach.

Remain neutral again.

Contain our inner peace.

Do you consider forgiving someone to mean releasing anger, resentment, and caution towards that person?

That teaching contradicts our internal warning system. We are made to instinctively detect a threat to our wellbeing.

We should not forgive, release our anger, hurt, pain until we are able to feel safe.

Healing ourselves, focusing on our wellbeing, we naturally begin to have an expansive view of the realities of a situation.

Seeing the deeper truth, we start to naturally let go.

Letting go of the pain, the fear, the need for changing the other person, because we change.

We start to detach from the belief we had, the victim perspective, and we step into the empowered position.

At this point you can understand more deeply, and feel it in your body, that your strength is larger than someone else’s behavior.

You are able to see that their actions does not reflect anything about you, rather a reflection of the other person.

When you can know that in your body, you naturally unattach yourself from that person, their pain, and that is forgiveness.

We often are told:
Stand up for what we believe in,
take a stand.

Stand his often brings an energy of conflict and fight.

When we stand for what we believe in, we can start by rooting into ourselves first.

We root in where we stand, we live what we believe, we embody what we live, and we inspire others to do the same.

In this way, we cause strength of our belief to be express in ways that are beneficial to both ourselves and to those around us.

Where have we learned about love?

Many of us learn about love from movies and TV. I know I was highly influenced by the fairytale endings, especially coming from a tumultuous upbringing.

Love often becomes complicated when we attach to someone in a way that becomes difficult or too comfortable.

We enmesh ourselves and lose parts of who we are as individuals.

Love is a balance of inner and outer states of being, seeing others as individuals and embracing those deep connections.

Love should not be out of fear.

Do you love those for who they are to you or for who they are?

We all want to think of ourselves as good people. But when our human factor of influence comes in, it can make us feel bad, like we aren’t a good human.

Shifting from a good person to a positive influence, brings who we are into our daily life, a person who lives from their values with their human qualities and ego driven tactics.

Strive for something different.

How many times have I used boundaries as a shield, as a wall to protect me? Countless.

I realize the intention behind our boundaries, is the energy that’s exuded into the relationship.

With this shift from the oh so wise as seeing boundaries as a way to creating a better relationships, there is an opening in me, a release of the ego attachment, and it feels so right in my body.

How does this phrase land in your body?

In modern society we consume a lot of information daily. This here is a consumption for you, but for me this is an experience.

As I sit eating breakfast, in the midst of ruminating about someone talking bad about someone else, I find my self feeling a chaos of emotions. Hurt, anger, sadness…TRIGGERED.

I ask myself this, How can I cultivate inner peace?

I want to immediately hop onto my phone and see what the experts have to say. Why? Because I want the answers now. I want to stop these emotions from swirling in me. From sucking me down into my darkness.

I want immediate gratification, as if knowledge is my drug.

Instead I wrote this out, as a reminder to self, to have patience. With patience, living the question, the right answer for me will surface.

It will be a consciously learned answer that will be alive in my body. I will know for myself where my thinking is stuck, and what I need, that is in my control, to have a sense of peace.

A lived question cultivates an embodied solution because it grew out of your life and not just the thought.
