Because we can think of a few good ways to spend it, and most of them involve horses. Whether it's lessons, a simple hack, or just catching up with barn friends, there's no better place to be.

Who's looking forward to some horse time this weekend?

Maybe you’ve loved horses your entire life but never had the opportunity. Maybe you rode years ago and have been thinking about getting back in the saddle. Or maybe you have a horse-crazy kid who asks about riding lessons every chance they get.

You don’t need experience. You don’t need to own a horse. And you don’t need to know exactly where you want riding to take you. 𝒀𝒐𝒖 𝒋𝒖𝒔𝒕 𝒏𝒆𝒆𝒅 𝒔𝒐𝒎𝒆𝒘𝒉𝒆𝒓𝒆 𝒕𝒐 𝒔𝒕𝒂𝒓𝒕.

At Double Rainbow Farm, we work with riders of different ages, experience levels, and goals, from those learning the basics to riders who want to take their skills into the show ring.

If horses have been on your mind, maybe it’s time to give it a try.
Send us a message to learn more about riding lessons at Double Rainbow Farm.

We wait all summer for riding weather like this. 🍂

Cooler mornings, comfortable afternoons, happy horses, and a little more time to enjoy being at the barn without melting in the Louisiana heat.

Here’s to more good rides and cooler days ahead.

You don’t have to know exactly where horses will take you before you start.

You don’t need to know if you want to show. You don’t need years of experience, and you don’t even need to know what your goals are yet. Sometimes you just know you want to ride. The goals, confidence, friendships, and experiences can come later.

You just have to give yourself the chance to start.

Learning to ride is only one part of becoming a horseman.

It’s learning how to care for the horse before and after the ride. It's noticing when something feels different. It's learning how to be patient, to ask questions, and to take responsibility for the animal depending on you. Those moments might not always be the most exciting part of a lesson, but they’re often some of the most important.

We’re here to teach riders, but we’re also here to develop horsemen.
