The Harvey FFA land judging team left Wednesday with a birthday boy, first time Killdeer Mountain viewer, and 3 Father Farms Alone boys. They made mud balls (textured soil), seen how fast they could roll down a hill (determined slope of land) and used their wisdom to make land improvement recommendations.

They came home as your ND FFA 2nd place Gold team! Awesome job boys!

Over the past two days, SMP Health – St. Aloisius had the pleasure of welcoming Elliot K. through the FFA Auction volunteer program. 💙

Earlier this year, we proudly purchased 8 hours of volunteer time at the auction to support our local FFA chapter. Elliot spent those hours with our Information Technology Department 💻, stepping in wherever he was needed with a positive attitude, a strong work ethic, and a willingness to learn.

Technology keeps so much of our hospital running behind the scenes, and we truly appreciated the extra set of hands!

👏 Thank you, Elliot, for all of your hard work over the last two days. We’re proud to support our local FFA and invest in the next generation of leaders. We can’t wait to see what the future holds for you! 🌱✨

It's been a busy week for the Harvey FFA Tractor Driving competitors. On Monday we hosted the District 3 tractor driving contest at Gooseneck Implement Harvey. Competing in the Basic Division was Kris Lies, Cayden Reimche, James Ongstad, and Carson Reimche. Matthew Ongstad was the chapter's lone competitor in the Advanced Division. Kris Lies earned 1st Place in his division and advanced to the state contest. Cayden and James also advanced to state in the Basic Divison. Matthew earned a trip to state in the Advanced Division. Today, the boys competed at the state event and they were ready to show their skill! The Ongstad brothers swept the competition and each brought home their own coveted Baby Bison! Matthew was High Individual in the Advanced Division and James won the Basic Division! Kris Lies was 2nd High Individual in Basic. Also competing was Cayden Reimche! Good job guys!

The Wells County Fair is happening now! Our members' projects are on display in the Static Exhibit Building. Stop by and see all the hard work our students put into their projects!

The 97th Annual North Dakota State FFA Convention has come to an end. We are incredibly proud of the 21 members who attended. Bringing home hardware and awards is nice, however the learning disguised as fun is invaluable whether it is in a CDE, a workshop, at the dining center, or on a couch in a dorm lounge with new and old friends.

Thank you to all the business and individuals that support the labor sale, fruit sales, make donations and encourage these young people. Without you these events would not happen.

Thank you parents for giving us the privilege of coaching, taking care of (for a few days) and laughing with your kids.
