I pray or meditate most mornings. For clarity, for the safety of my family, for those who are hurting. Today I gave thanks for our nations blessings. 🇺🇸 🙏

Went over to my in-laws to celebrate the Strawberry Moon with some frozen daiquiris down by the lake last evening. We’re so dumb! Waited all that time and ran out of energy right at the end. lol In our defense, that moon was taking its own sweet time getting above the trees. 🌅 As I headed home, it was then that she peeked out. I drove around for an extra 15 minutes looking for a clear view near the cottage only to end up in the Meijer parking lot. 🤦‍♀️ 😆 She is gorgeous! May have to try again tonight. 😉

Another hard days work in the garden. Lol You can’t even tell! (Well. Unless you know where to look 😉)

I picked up this street sign from a guy on marketplace 6 or 7 years ago. Steve jammed it up in the front maple where it lived for several years. I always wanted to move it to this spot where two odd cast iron poles have always stuck out of the ground. (I’m guessing the previous owner had some interesting art or junk there. Poked me in the ass more than once over the years). Anyway, finally moved it today. It’s wired up pretty janky, we’ll see how long it lasts. Tomorrow I’ll run to the bank and get cash for the truck wash. 🧽 That’s my real life folks!

I fixed myself a cocktail and I’m sitting out in my yard, surveying my domain, appreciating my hard work, even though it’s far from presentable. Oh how Steve and I loved to sit out here and thank each and congratulate each other on a job well done and dream about our future! 🌅 It’s a happy memory. But I’m not there yet. Not quite ready for a dream of my own. 🥹

For now it’s enough that God woke me up once again. Gave me another opportunity. Somehow got my fat ass motivated and outside again! What’s the lesson for me in all of this?, I ask Him. I can’t dream about my future. Yet. So Jesus! Take the wheel! 🙏 ❤️‍🩹✨🌸

A second rainy day in the garden and, honestly, I’m okay with that. 🌧️ There’s nothing better for newly planted babies! And my body isn’t going to complain about the rest either. (Although I am catching up on housework with all day auto racing in the background. 🏁 God speed, Kyle Busch 😢)

The herbs I bought last weekend are finally in. The potatoes are doing well as are the strawberries. Still plenty of space! I haven’t gotten any flower or gourd seeds in yet. Just focusing on keeping it fun and easy. 🫐 🌻 🎃

I also picked up this book at Hobby Lobby. Gorgeous! Beautiful illustrations and daily devotions from the garden to take it all one at a time. 🙏
