And that’s a wrap on the Hartington-Newcastle FFA Banquet 2026!!

On Friday May 1st we celebrated all the accomplishments of the kids, awards were handed out: Leadership, Scholarship, Dekalb, John Micheal Lammers Most Active, Star Production, and Star Placement.

Parents were recognized for all that they do for their kids especially their seniors!!

A big thank you to the All Seniors who have put in their time and dedication to FFA. Thank you for all that you have done, you will be missed!

Hartington Newcastle FFA had a fantastic State FFA Convention in Lincoln this past week! LDEs(Leadership Development Events) and CDEs (Career Development Events) were the main focus with some other contests, community service and some fun activities.

Shout out to the Hartington Newcastle Booster Club for providing a meal for the students to start the State FFA Convention.

Wednesday Adventures included
LDE Sr Public Speaking for Ava (Silver)
Proficiency Finalist Interview for Ava (1st and National Qualifying)
CDE Floriculture for Kora, Kaley, Katelyn, and Elena
State Degree Recipients: Jade, Maverick, Booker, Quinn, Jackson, Kora, Kaley, Wes, Graham, Breah, Ava, and Katelyn
Leadership Academy for Ashlynn, Colter, Dylan, Nathan, Scout, Logan, Elena
Extra Activities: Jim Pillen Meet and Greet and the 1st General Session

Thursday Adventures included
Start Choir Participants: Kyptin, Jayden, Kyson
LDE Jr Public Speaking for Scout (Bronze)
CDE Agronomy for Graham (Blue), Jason, Gabe (Red), Will; Team got a White Ribbon and placed 27.
CDE Welding for Ty (Purple, 1st Individual), Cris, Josiah, Colton; Team got a White Ribbon and placed 25.
CDE Livestock Management for Breah, Ava, Calley, Karissa, Gus, Adeline; Team got a Blue Ribbon and placed 12: with special recognition for 4 team in Poultry Division.
CDE Agriscience for Ashlynn (Blue), Colter, Dylan, Logan; Team got a Red Ribbon and placed 54.
Extra Activities: Hypnotist, National Officer Assembly, and Living to Serve Project

Friday Adventures Included
LDE Breakfast to receive awards
Delegate Business Session for Ashton and Gus
Choir Singing at Final Session

The LDE competitors competed out of 36 individuals and only the top half of the students earn a ribbon at CDEs.

We had an amazing week with lots of memories! Thank you to students, parents, supporters, and advisors for your contributions!
