| In honor of Mental Health Awareness Month, Livingstone College student leader Bryce Gay is shedding light on an important issue often overlooked within the Black community: mental health among Black men and college students.

Through his latest op-ed, Bryce challenges harmful stigmas surrounding vulnerability and encourages more open, honest conversations about healing, emotional wellness, and support.

Congratulations to our seniors Jada Wilson and Valeria Olave for receiving scholarships from the Hartford Symphony Orchestra. Out of the four students selected for this recognition, Jada and Valeria were the only recipients from Hartford Public Schools, an incredible accomplishment that reflects their talent, dedication, and hard work. We also had a chance to meet Javier Colon, the first ever winner of the Voice.

Congratulations as well to Kasiyanna Henry, recipient of the Overcoming Adversity Scholarship, and the only Hartford Public Schools student selected for this honor. Your resilience, perseverance, and determination continue to inspire all of us.
