I am developing a lecture series grounded in my research on colonial-era music, in honor of the 250th anniversary of the American Revolution 🎉🇺🇸. This work examines the full spectrum of early American musical traditions, including European Baroque and Classical influences 🎻🎹, Puritan origins ⛪, and the musical contributions of women in the home and public ✒️, African Americans 🎶, and Native Americans 🪘.

The lecture series provides a comprehensive exploration of colonial and revolutionary-era music, highlighting patriotic and political songs 🇺🇸, folk and tavern music 🍻, sea shanties ⚓, fife & drum military music 🥁, early concert and operatic works 🎼, and folk songs from Irish, Scottish, German, and English traditions 🍀🎻. The series aims to offer audiences historical insight and an immersive experience of the period’s soundscape 🎵.

I look forward to sharing my research and lecture at many of the 250th celebrations 📅, covering the music of all members of society at the time.

🎶 Exciting News: I’m Back in New England! 🎶

Hello friends and fellow music lovers! After some time away in Wisconsin, I’m thrilled to be back in beautiful New England—and I can’t wait to reconnect with all of you. 💙

As I get settled, I’ll be performing in local venues, attending vintage events, and exploring historical reenactments. It’s going to be a season full of music, fun, and New England charm! I’ll be posting events and updates as they come up—so stay tuned. 🎤✨

A little side note: my page was recently hacked, and I had to rebuild from scratch. I lost much of my previous following despite sending individual invites—but I’m determined to grow this community again, stronger than ever!
If you love music, history, and all things vintage, I’d be so grateful if you:

Full performance of Patriots Day on April 18, 2025.

My performance for the 250th of Patriots Day on April 18, 2025 at Martha Mary Chapel. This was the same chapel I got married at on August 17, 2025. The chapel is conjunction with Longfellow's Wayside Inn, in Sudbury, MA. These recordings are a selection of popular colonial favorites from various styles for the big anniversary of Patriots Day!
