This morning as we continue to explore fairy tales, we listened to the story The Gingerbread Man and talked about the characters and events in the story. The children enjoyed joining in with the famous phrase, "Run, run, as fast as you can!"
In the afternoon, we had a sweet treat activity and decorated our own sugar cookies. The children used colorful frosting and sprinkles to create unique cookie designs while practicing creativity and fine motor skills. We had a wonderful day filled with storytelling, imagination, and hands-on fun! ❤️🍪📚

To end this week with a bang, we had a "beach day" throughout our center. The young toddlers played with beach balls by using their large gross motor skills and hand eye-coordination. Our older toddlers had fun with some water play on the playground with the pool and the older toddlers made a boat by using a box.

This week we are learning about water power. Today in the infant rooms, we learned about rain and the sign for umbrella. Sign language is important in our curriculum because it gives our young children a way to communicate with others before they are able to speak words.

Thank you to all the children and families who participated. The children truly enjoyed working hard and showing their creativity through their projects. From sun catchers, erupting volcanoes, and models of the Earth to bird feeders, recycled collages, and even creating a new friend “Riley” the robot—every project was unique and exciting!
It was wonderful to see the children use their fine motor skills, creativity, and critical thinking while having fun learning. We are so proud of all their hard work and can’t wait for the next Science Fair! 💡👏

We are excited to be celebrating the Week of the Young Child! Today for Tasty Tuesday, children explored their sense of taste by trying delicious tacos. They had the opportunity to choose from a variety of condiments, including lettuce, cheese, tomatoes, salsa, and both hard and soft taco shells. This hands-on experience encouraged independence, sensory exploration, and meaningful conversations as children shared their preferences with their peers.
