This page has been created by a group of concerned parents in the Harrisonville School District. Administrators of this page are parents, alumni, and community members, that are NOT employees of the district. Our community should be informed of and involved in every BOE meeting from this point on. Parents, students, alumni, community members and district staff have the right to request that items

be added to the agenda of every public board meeting as well as the right to comment on these items. In order to have an impact on the direction our BOE takes in the coming months, it is important that there is a strong public presence at every meeting and that our opinions are heard. This page is not intended as a forum for bashing and mud-slinging, only as a way to pass on facts and information about the actions and decisions of our BOE. If you would like more information, please message the page administrators. We have several parents monitoring the page and will respond to requests as soon as possible. We encourage you to contact your child's teacher(s) as well. Periodically, we may post requests for emails to be sent and phone calls to be made. At all times, we ask that communication with the Harrisonville School District be conducted in a respectful and professional manner. We appreciate your support in our efforts to encourage and hold our Board of Education members accountable as they mold the future of the Harrisonville School District. At tonight's Board meeting, Frank Dahman agreed that to fix the financial situation, they will either need to (a) reduce staff by natural attrition, (b) freeze teacher salaries for two years, or (c) pass a tax levy. The architects also outlined $23 million in capital projects, and by the Administration's own admission, there will only be about $2.5 milliion in the capital projects fund to pay for it.

Congratulations to Mr. Reynolds, our district is lucky to have such a qualified honest man representing it.

Harrisonville school board candidates open up about a proposal to buy Chromebook laptops for students, and they issue proposals for enhancing trustworthiness and transparency in the Harrisonville School District.

Over 100 community members attended this forum, this was the voters opportunity to ask the 6 candidates, running for the Harrisonville School Board questions. Of the 6 only 4 attended. These 4; Graef, Smith, Wray and Shelton, gave very straight forward answers in regards to their vision of moving the district forward. The two current sitting BOE members, that are running for re-election, Price and Cochran, did NOT show to answer questions in regards to their past votes and future visions. Transparency and accountability speak volumes, or the lack thereof... Thank you Graef, Smith, Wray and Shelton for answering questions from your constituents, the voters.
