“Ang Pagiging Totoo Sa Iyong Sarili” (Being True to Yourself)
The story follows Evelyn, an American-Filipino, who makes it her mission to learn about her roots as her parents never exposed her to Filipino culture.

The Danielle Joy “DJ” Monsale scholarship, formally known as the “I Am Because We Are” scholarship, is given to a member of Filipino Americans at Madison that embodies all the values of the organization.
DJ is an alumna of FAM who passed away in May 2022 due to cancer. During her time in the organization, she served as Public Relations Chair during the 2018-2019 school year and was a member of the Dynastiaz family. DJ never failed to make general body members smile. Her welcoming presence and warm personality is part of what makes FAM what it is today. DJ was loved by so many people for her kindness, humor, empathy and so much more.
Applications for the scholarship are due February 5, 2023 at 11:59pm! If you are an alumni, friend, or family that would like to donate to the scholarship, please do not hesitate to reach out!
