Every courtroom needs dedicated officials to keep things running smoothly. Meet three of the colorful characters helping bring this fairy-tale trial to life!
π Clerk β Bridget Manley
Bridget Manley hasnβt appeared on stage as an actor in more than 20 years, but she has loved watching her children blossom through Act One productions. She is, however, the reigning champion of the Any Given Child Shenandoah Valley Lip Sync Battle! Bridget is a journalist with The Citizen and WMRA and serves as Events Manager at Rivercrest Farm and Event Center.
π¦ Wise O. Al β Court Manley
Court Manley is excited to join his family on stage for this unique theatrical adventure. A graduate of West Virginia University with a degree in music, Court spent much of his twenties touring with the ultra-famous band, Distorted Penguins! He enjoys singing and playing guitar in his spare time but never expected to fall in love with theater. He credits his wife, Bridget, and children, Ben and Nelle, for introducing him to the stage.
π Charity β Chloe Martin
Chloe Martin is a rising ninth-grade student at Spotswood High School. She is actively involved in her church and Wyld Life, loves creating art, and is an avid reader. Through Act One, Chloe has appeared in productions including The Little Mermaid Jr. and The Lion King Jr. She has also performed in numerous school productions, including starring roles in Shrek Jr. and Elf Jr. Most recently, Chloe appeared in BRCCβs production of Thatβs Not How I Remember It.

π₯ Humpty-Dumpty β Bradley Long
Bradley Long is excited to be making his debut with Friendly City Players, returning to the stage after a 15-year hiatus! Favorite past roles include The Baker in Into the Woods, Philip Glass and Leon Trotsky in All in the Timing, Vinny in Lucky Stiff at King College, and Will Parker in Oklahoma! at Pulaski County High School. Bradley holds a Master of Divinity from Princeton Theological Seminary and is preparing to defend his Ph.D. dissertation in Intercultural Studies (Missiology) from Columbia International University this summer. He is an ordained ECO Presbyterian pastor and currently serves as a Mission Mobilizer with Frontier Fellowship.
π Little Bo Peep β Mara Cullers
Mara Cullers is an upcoming seventh grader who has previously performed with the Shenandoah Valley Children's Choir, the EMU Summer Musical Theatre Program, and her middle school's sixth-grade musical. A dedicated fifth-year Girl Scout and active member of her church youth group, Mara dreams of pursuing a career where she can help children.
π½οΈ Jack Sprat β Dave Lafy
Dave Lafy is making his first-ever appearance on stageβand is as surprised about it as anyone else! When he's not learning lines and remembering his stage directions, Dave works in the solar industry and enjoys spending time with his family. He is grateful to the cast and crew for their support and hopes audiences enjoy the performance.

Charlotte Kelly is excited to return to the stage and work with JP Gulla once again. Having previously appeared in productions such as The Little Mermaid and Beetlejuice Jr., she continues to enjoy every opportunity to grow as a performer. She is especially grateful for her talented castmates, whose encouragement, friendship, and enthusiasm have made this experience so memorable. She hopes you enjoy the show!
π Old King Cole β Marc Lonett
Marc Lonett is royally honored to be part of the cast of The Trial of the Big Bad Wolf. He is thrilled to share the stage with his daughter and this wonderfully talented group of performers. His previous theatrical adventures include appearing as a Winged Monkey in a kindergarten production of The Wizard of Oz, the Underlord of Underwear in The Emperorβs New Clothes at Seneca Valley High School, and serving as a mascot for both James Madison University and the Pittsburgh Pirates. Marc would like to thank his wife, children, and family for encouraging him to step outside his comfort zone and embrace a new adventure.
π·οΈ Little Miss Muffet β Jenya Long
Jenya Long is overjoyed to be making her debut with Act Oneβand her acting debut anywhere! A rising fourth grader at John Wayland Elementary School, Jenya enjoys gymnastics, swimming, and watching YouTube. Her current favorite song is Daddy Says No by the Haschak Sisters. She is excited to bring Little Miss Muffet to life and be part of this fairy-tale adventure.

π Little Red Riding Hood β Iris Katherine Simpson
Iris is thrilled to be part of this production! Audiences may recognize her from previous Act One Theater Company productions including The Little Mermaid, Jr., Beetlejuice, Jr., The Lion King, Jr., and Shrek, Jr. She has also appeared in Dare to Dream, Jr. and The Wizard of Oz, Jr. When she's not on stage, Iris enjoys voice and violin lessons, reading, drawing, and spending time with friends.
π Mistress Mary β Celes Woodruff
Celes is excited to make her debut with The Friendly City Players. Recent credits include Adult Theater Camp with Act One Theater Company, while earlier performances include Into the Woods and Oklahoma. Offstage, she serves as a mathematics professor at James Madison University.
π₯ Mrs. Sprat β Devyn LaCroix
A Theatre Major at Old Dominion University, Devyn has been performing since the age of five. In addition to acting, she has developed a passion for costuming and has contributed behind the scenes to productions including The Fatal Fifties Affair and Alice in Wonderland. She extends heartfelt thanks to her husband and their three rambunctious kitties for their love and support.

Before the trial begins, we'd like to introduce the characters at the center of this fairy-tale legal battle! Meet the Wolf and the Three Little Pigsβthe defendant and the plaintiffs whose case has everyone talking.
πΊ Wallington Wellington Wolf the Third β Ben Manley
Ben Manley is a rising eighth-grade student at Skyline Middle School. He made his Act One debut as Captain of the Guards in Shrek Jr. and has since appeared as Simba in The Lion King Jr., Adam in Beetlejuice Jr., and in productions of I Hate Shakespeare as Iago, Macbeth, and Puck. He has also portrayed both Prince Eric and King Triton in various performances of The Little Mermaid Jr. Ben plays tuba in the Skyline Middle School Band and enjoys playing video games with friends when heβs not on stage. He would like to thank his parents, grandparents, and cousins for their support.
π· Amelia Pig β Landyn Lonett
Landyn Lonett is excited to be part of The Trial of the Big Bad Wolf. Her previous stage credits include Flotsam and Ensemble in The Little Mermaid Jr., Ensemble in Beetlejuice Jr., and a Hyena in The Lion King Jr. with Act One Theater Company. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with friends and family. Landyn would like to thank her director, Mr. G, and her friends for their encouragement and support. She also sends special thanks to her new puppies, Rufflestiltskin and Snickerbelle, for the late-night rehearsal snuggles.
π· Myrtle Mae Pig β Nelle Manley
Nelle Manley is a rising sixth-grade student at Skyline Middle School. She made her Act One debut as Young Nala in The Lion King Jr. Her other roles include Cruella DeVille in 101 Dalmatians Kids, Sky in Beetlejuice Jr., Mrs. Paroo in The Music Man Kids, and Jetsam in The Little Mermaid Jr. When she's not performing, Nelle enjoys fashion, makeup, basketball, and crafting. She would like to thank her friends, family, grandparents, parents, cousins, Lena, and Nolan for their support.
π· Barbara Sue Pig β Emily Woodruff
Emily Woodruff is excited to make her Friendly City Players debut in The Trial of the Big Bad Wolf. A recent credit includes The Little Mermaid Jr. with Act One Theater Company. Outside of acting, Emily enjoys gymnastics, cheerleading, horseback riding, and participating in Girl Scouts.
