It's almost June. Come breathe and reflect with us. 💙💛

Communities of practice don’t end with just one conversation—they’re where real change begins!

Join us for our final Coming Together session at the 2026 Restorative Justice in Education Conference!

The incredible Dr. Kathy Evans will be facilitating an interactive panel conversation with our conference speakers and you (our amazing participants!). Together, we’re going to reflect on the biggest takeaways from the past two days and map out our next steps for this year’s theme: Communities of Practice: Tending to our Collective Well-Being.

As the co-author of The Little Book of Restorative Justice in Education and a leader in EMU’s graduate RJE program, Kathy brings deep experience in building just, equitable, and relational learning communities. You won't want to miss her insights!

Looking forward to celebrating our graduates on May 3! 🤩
We also have Finals Week between now and then. 🤓

Dr. Angela J. Lederach, an anthropologist and assistant professor of peace and justice studies at Chapman University, will deliver the address at the 108th Commencement on Sunday, May 3, in Yoder Arena.

Dr. Lederach is the author of “Feel the Grass Grow: Ecologies of Slow Peace in Colombia” and has accompanied peacebuilding, environmental, and restorative justice initiatives in Sierra Leone, the Philippines, Colombia, Bolivia, and the United States.

“I feel incredibly honored and, quite frankly, humbled to be chosen to speak at EMU’s Commencement,” Dr. Lederach said. “The faculty, students, and alumni at EMU have deeply shaped my understanding of justice and peace and inspired me to imagine and work toward more peaceful and dignified futures for collective life on this planet.”
