Getting a new review on a product really brightens my day! 🥹✨
It always means so much when people take time to leave a thoughtful review on a product I put a lot of thought into. Special thanks to Sarah G. & her review of my Stop Think Do Impulse Control Reminder resource! You made my day! 💖
If you’re a TPT creator, do reviews brighten your day too?
If you’re a TPT buyer, what leads you to write a review?

The transition back to school brings big excitement, but it can also bring big worries. 😅
As an elementary school counselor, separation anxiety is one of the most common challenges I see kids face during the first few weeks of school. Morning tears, clinginess, and sudden stomachaches are completely normal responses to a major routine shift…but they can also make everyone feel overwhelmed before the day even starts.
If you’re navigating separation anxiety this season, know that you’re not alone. It’s a super common hurdle for families and educators alike during big transitions. 💖
Swipe through for a quick guide on easing those drop-off jitters.
Plus, I created a print-and-go parent handout to help carry these strategies home!

Belonging isn’t just a goal…it’s the baseline. 💖
Creating a welcoming school culture starts from the moment students, staff, community members, and families walk through the doors. Every single person who enters your school deserves to know they are valued, seen, & essential to your community.
Want to recreate this message in your hallway, office, or classroom? These printable bulletin board letters are designed to be printed directly onto your favorite colored or patterned paper, making prep simple, affordable, and customizable! 🎨✂️
I’ll drop the l!nk to this bulletin board from my TPT store in the comments if you’re interested 🔗👇💬

Every time I share a video of my office, THIS is my most asked about item!
Starting a session (or a school day!) with "I am brave," "I am smart," and "I am loved" sets such a powerful tone for our students. It perfectly combines movement with positive self-talk, which is a massive win for self-regulation and confidence. Teachers and parents, this would also be incredible in a classroom calm-down corner or a hallway at home! ✨

The end-of-summer countdown is real, and it’s okay to have mixed feelings about it! ☀️
While you’re soaking up these last few weeks and getting your classrooms ready, don’t forget the incredible impact you have. For so many students, school is their safest, most predictable place…and you are the reason why. Your presence matters more than any classroom decor or lesson plan. 💖

Whether you are a fellow counselor trading ideas, a teacher looking for SEL resources, or a parent supporting your child’s emotional growth: thank you. Your comments, shares, and messages mean the world to me. 🥹
Quick question for you all: How did you first find my page, or what is your favorite topic we chat about here? Let me know in the comments! 👇

We often tell kids to “calm down” or “control themselves,” but self-regulation is a skill that has to be taught AND practiced. The good news? The brain learns these skills best through play! 🧩
When kids play games like Freeze Dance or Red Light, Green Light, they aren’t just having fun…they’re literally exercising their prefrontal cortex! They’re practicing how to stop an impulse, remember a rule, and shift gears. 🧠
Save this post for the next time you need a quick, 5-minute regulation break in the classroom or at home! 💾
