Our students are still working hard! 72 stick horses were delivered this morning to the local pre-k. I think the kids are going to love them! Thank You to Barnes Lumber for DONATING ALL THE MATERIALS for this project. Greg and Jeff at Barnes have been so good to donate when needed!

Some of the most active Construction Trades Students and myself and our favorite aid took a much deserved field trip yesterday! We spent the day in Louisville Kentucky touring the Louisville Slugger Factory and Museum. We learned how and where the trees are selected for harvesting to make their bats. We saw the machines cutting billets into bats and learned the entire process of making and painting the bats. Then we toured the museum and even tried out the batting cages. I think everyone had a great time!

Our students completed 10 picnic tables for the forest service for public use at Garden of The Gods!

HHS Construction Students have done it again! These brand new beautiful blessing boxes are headed to their towns where they will be filled with food for anyone who needs it. One is located in Harrisburg! I love that we are able to teach these students trades while helping our local communities! Also, shout out to Whipper Johnson for his donation for the Harrisburg one as well as Fowler Bonan Foundation for donating for the other 2! As always Thank you to Barnes lumber for helping make this happen!

Some of our HHS Construction students got to learn to pour concrete today when we poured a small patio pad for one of our supporters! They did an amazing job! Shout out to Billy Womack with Womack Concrete for donating our concrete tools and shovels and to Barnetts Redi Mix for their concrete donation! Businesses like these are what makes it possible for our students to learn skills they can use the rest of their lives!

HHS Construction students were able to build these cute little raised flower/garden beds for BELA PreK thanks to money donated by David Morse Country Financial! Today our students helped these adorable pre k kids plant tulip and Easter lily bulbs in them! This wouldn't have been possible without Principal Alesha Allen's creative ideas, David Morse's financial backing , and the Hard work of the HHS Construction!
