🏆 BACK-TO-BACK UIL ONE ACT PLAY STATE CHAMPIONS! 🏆
History made once again. 🎭
We are beyond proud to announce that Harlingen High School South has been named the UIL Conference 5A One Act Play State Champion for the second consecutive year with our production of Never the Sinner by John Logan. 🦅
This journey has been filled with passion, artistry, sacrifice, and an unwavering commitment to storytelling. Watching these students grow throughout this season has been nothing short of extraordinary, and we could not be more proud of the work they brought to the stage. Through this process, these students explored complex ideas, challenged themselves artistically, and deepened their understanding of the human condition through theatre and storytelling. Because of that exploration and growth, we are all better for it.

We also want to congratulate the company of Living Out from PSJA Southwest Early College High School on earning the Bronze Medal at the UIL State Meet! The Rio Grande Valley was beautifully represented on the state stage this year. ✨
Thank you to everyone who has supported and believed in this program throughout this incredible season and beyond. To the Harlingen Consolidated Independent School District School Board and Senior Team led by Dr. Veronica Kortan, to Harlingen High School South Administration led by Dalia Moore, Lee Ann Ince, Aracely Navarro, Demond Wilson, Alma Cavazos, to our parents, supporters, alumni, and fans, thank you for championing these students and the arts.
A sincere and heartfelt thank you to John Logan for entrusting our troupe with such a powerful and beautiful play.
And finally, a massive congratulations to our sister school, Harlingen High School, for winning the UIL Conference 6A State Championship! ❤️🖤 This marks only the second time in the 99-year history of UIL that a single school district has won multiple state championships in the same year. What an incredible moment for our community and for arts education in the Rio Grande Valley.
This achievement is a true testament to the power of uplifting the arts and providing students with spaces to grow, create, and thrive.
