Each week, Mrs. Moyer focuses on one letter to teach the students symbol recognition, phonetic awareness and handwriting skills. The children enjoy engaging in learning with the interactive lessons shared with them!

The nursery school has wrapped up their camp fire-side unit and has officially moved into the woods, studying different woodland critters! The brave children started this theme by going on a bear hunt to learn exciting bear facts about the Pennsylvania local Black Bear!

We are so lucky for Pastor Tim and his incredible balloon twisting talents that seamlessly fit into our thematic units! The children finished the September month learning about the story of Creation and the many creatures God put into the coursing seas and the vast lands and all the stars in the sky! ✨️

An important part of our program is being sure each child has the opportunity to know the Lord! Last week, Mrs. Moyer made sure all the children have their own Story Book Bible to learn the Word of God. The children have already memorized their first verse for the school year!

What a great start to the new school year!
This week we invited our students and their parents to orientation on Monday where they got to meet new and old friends, explore the classroom and decorate this year's school bags! Wednesday was the first official day of Nursery School and everyone had a blast! Our friends even stopped by the office to visit Pastor Tim where he showed off some of his exciting balloon creations 🙂

Our classroom is ready and waiting for our new friends to start next week!
September's thematic unit at Wee Folk Nursery School is "Under The Stars Camping Adventure!" During this theme, children will explore the outdoors focusing on fireflies, woodland animals and their habitats, and local nature experiences! Good luck starting a new school year, campers!
