Hurricane season is here, and the HHS Student Council Energy & Environment Committee wants to remind our Hornet families that being prepared starts BEFORE the storm. 💙💛

A few simple steps can make a big difference:
🌧️ Know your evacuation route and have a family plan.
🔦 Keep flashlights, batteries, and emergency supplies ready.
💧 Have plenty of water and nonperishable food on hand.
📱 Keep phones and portable chargers charged.
⛽ Don’t wait until the last minute to fill up your vehicle.
🐾 Remember to include your pets in your emergency plans.
📻 Stay informed and follow updates from trusted local officials.

We’re inviting all HHS clubs and organizations to set up a table and RECRUIT! This is your chance to show off what your organization is all about, meet new students, and grow your membership for the 2026–2027 school year!

We are also collecting items for our upcoming Childhood Cancer Bake Sale!

Last year, HHS StuCo raised an incredible $1,000 for childhood cancer and donated the proceeds to the American Cancer Society. This year, our goal is simple:

📌 Applications are due Wednesday, October 14, 2026, to Amanda Key, Hardin High School Student Council Sponsor. All approved participants will receive confirmation and event instructions prior to Trunk or Treat.

🎟️ ATTENDING TRUNK OR TREAT?
Admission is $5 per vehicle for families attending the event. There is no admission charge for those hosting a trunk or booth. Proceeds help Hardin High School Student Council cover the costs of providing this special community event.

Trunk or Treat will be held in the Hardin Elementary School parking lot with the goal of providing a safe, fun, and family-friendly experience for our Hardin students and families.

🔥🍫 We Couldn’t Ask for S’MORE from Our HHS Staff! 🍫🔥

Today was National S’mores Day, and we celebrated our amazing HHS staff with a little something sweet! 🤎

HHS Student Council provided the ingredients, and Mrs. Jamie Hughes’ Culinary class put their skills to work preparing a delicious s’mores mix for our staff to enjoy! 👩‍🍳🍫

Because when it comes to the incredible people who make HHS such a special place… we truly couldn’t ask for S’MORE! 💙💛

A big thank you to Mrs. Hughes and her Culinary students for helping us make today extra sweet!

💙💛 HHS StuCo LOVES Our Staff! 💛💙

Our Hardin High School Student Council loves finding ways to show our amazing staff just how much they mean to us! 🐝

We kicked things off by sponsoring a pizza party because our staff deserves to be celebrated (and fed!. And we absolutely LOVE seeing everyone in their staff shirts provided by HHS StuCo! There’s nothing better than seeing our Hornet family showing their school pride together! 💙💛

To our HHS staff: THANK YOU for everything you do for our students and our school. We appreciate you more than you know! 🫶🐝

🍪 Happy National Chocolate Chip Cookie Day! 🍪

Today, the Hardin High School Student Council and Culinary Arts students spread a little sweetness by treating every staff member and student to a chocolate chip cookie!

A huge thank you to our amazing Culinary Arts teacher, Mrs. Jamie Hughes, for helping make this sweet celebration possible. We appreciate everything you do for our students and school!

Because every great day is even better with a chocolate chip cookie! 💙💛🍪

Today, the Hardin High School Student Council celebrated National Friendship Day by sharing Friendship Day bracelets with students on the very first day of school! 💙💛

There’s no better way to kick off a new school year than with a simple reminder that kindness, connection, and friendship make Hardin feel like home. Whether you’re meeting new classmates or reconnecting with old friends, we hope this year is filled with friendships that encourage, support, and last a lifetime.
