Superintendent search online survey is open to all!

As the Whitman-Hanson Regional School District School Committee begins its Superintendent Search process, we are seeking feedback from stakeholders in the community about your vision for our next superintendent. Our partners at MASC (Massachusetts Association of School Committees) have helped us create an online survey to solicit viewpoints on what qualities you would like to see in the new leader of our school district, and what challenges you expect they will face.

We ask that you take a few minutes and complete this survey. The input we receive from all members of our community–staff, students, caregivers, and citizens–will be invaluable as we evaluate and select the district’s next superintendent. Thank you in advance for your time and your candor.

The Superintendent Search Liaison Subcommittee will meet Wednesday, 9/30 to discuss the composition of the applicant screening committee. This is a virtual meeting open to the public via the link in the agenda.

This Wednesday we have a 5:00pm Operations and Capital Subcommittee meeting and a 6:30pm School Committee meeting. Both meetings are in the High School Library and open to the public. The School Committee meeting is available on WHCA, WHCAs YouTube or the link on the agenda.

Aug. 21- Infinite Campus and School Status Portals reopen for families. Class/course assignments available.

Aug. 27- Middle School New Student Orientation (HMS 5th, WMS 6th)

Aug. 31- Staff return. Kindergarten Welcome Back Events at each building late afternoon.

Sept. 1- Elementary Open Houses, 4:30pm

Sept. 2- First day of school for K-12

Sept. 4- Early Release Day (all schools) for PD

Sept. 7- Labor Day, No School

Sept. 14- Preschool first day
