Prepare. Serve. Lead. ❤️🖤
This week, our SJA faculty and staff began a journey of formation rooted in the call to become Activated Disciples. ✝️❤️🖤
Inspired by the Activated Discipleship series of Jeff Cavins, which Mrs. LaRosa and Mr. Cappuccio experienced last spring through the Diocese of Camden Catechetical Institute’s School of Discipleship, we have developed a four-part faculty formation series for our SJA community. 🙏🏻📖
Our first session, “Jesus Calls Us: Come and See,” invited us to begin where discipleship always begins—with an encounter with Jesus. ✝️ Jesus calls each of us by name before He sends us on mission. Before we teach, before we lead, before we serve, we are first invited to come and see, encounter Him, and allow Him to transform our hearts. ❤️
Our formation continued beyond the classroom. 📚✨ Our entire SJA community completed VIRTUS: Protecting God’s Children, strengthening our commitment to creating a safe environment where every student can learn, grow, and thrive. 🛡️🙌🏻
And we put our faith into action! 💪🏻❤️ Faculty and staff gathered alongside our students to serve our community partners, including Holy Name with the Catholic Partnership Schools and the SSJ Neighborhood Center in Camden, one of our monthly commitments. 🤝🏻🍎
🌟 A special shoutout to our NHS members who stayed with Mrs. LaRosa until the end of pantry day to ensure the pantry had adequate coverage! 🌟 Thank you Brody Corson, Liam Fox, Adrianna Cassidy, Giselle Pescatore, and Kaylin Marshall!
Our kids always step up, and we are SO proud of them! ❤️🖤
Because at St. Joseph Academy, formation is more than something we learn—it is something we live. ✝️❤️
❤️ Prepare our hearts.
🤲🏻 Serve with purpose.
🌟 Lead by example.
This is how we walk together as an SJA community of Activated Disciples. ✝️🔥
