Southeastern STEM Scholars dedicated nearly 60 hours in the past week and a half working in Southeastern College of Science and Technology's labs. Scholars are tackling power systems engineering and advanced manufacturing automation with guidance from industry partners: Ampirical and Intralox LLC - all made possible with the support of Future Use of Energy in Louisiana.

This is workforce readiness in practice!

So proud of the hard work of these Southeastern STEM Scholars Alumni, Mia Zheng and Ahmad Firstley.

Southeastern STEM Scholars Alumni -Ahmad Firstley & Mia Zheng - were presented with their awards & prize checks from Global Geospatial Institute's Louisiana: Mapped ArcGIS StoryMap competition.

With the support of Dr. Millard McElwee (Southeastern College of Science and Technology), Ahmad & Mia mapped the devastation caused by Hurricane Ida in Southeast Louisiana, and identified specific mitagation strategies to lessen damages in the future.
