Miami University TRIO Upward Bound

Tonight we celebrated the end of another great academic year with our Upward Bound students at Flub’s Ice Cream! 🍦🎉

It was a fun evening filled with ice cream, laughter, and time together as we reflected on all the hard work and accomplishments from this school year. We are so proud of our students and everything they have achieved both academically and personally.

Thank you to everyone who helped make this year such a success!! Now on to an exciting Summer Academy!

Last week we celebrated our amazing Upward Bound seniors from Hamilton City School District with a special party and send-off! 🎓🎉

We enjoyed great food, lots of laughs, and took time to recognize all of their hard work, accomplishments, and the bright futures ahead of them. We are so proud of everything they have achieved and can’t wait to see all they accomplish in this next chapter of life.

Now it’s off to graduation tonight to celebrate them even more! Congratulations, seniors — your Upward Bound family is cheering you on every step of the way!

We were excited to welcome Morgan from Hamilton Ohio Pride to speak with our students about the upcoming Hamilton Pride Festival and ways they can get involved in the community!

Students learned about volunteer opportunities at the festival, ways to support and advocate for inclusion, and even how they can become involved with serving on the Ohio Pride board in the future. It was an inspiring conversation about leadership, service, and making a positive impact in the community.

Thank you, Morgan, for taking the time to share your experiences and encourage our students to get involved! We appreciate the opportunity to connect our students with meaningful ways to serve and lead.

This morning, we had the privilege of recognizing and commending MUUB students Jordan Bell and Ryan Johnson at the Military Recognition Ceremony at Hamilton High School Main Campus. We were able to congratulate them on taking a bold, courageous step towards their future by enlisting in the US Navy and concurrently enrolling in college courses. We are extremely proud of their achievements. 💪🎓👏💙

Last night the Hamilton City School District and Hamilton High School Main Campus Top Scholars Evening was nothing short of incredible and Upward Bound showed up in a BIG way! 🎉

We are so proud to share that a significant number of the students recognized as Top Scholars are part of our Upward Bound family. These students have demonstrated outstanding academic achievement, dedication, and perseverance throughout the school year, and it truly showed last night.

Being named a Top Scholar is no small accomplishment. It represents long hours of studying, commitment to excellence, and a drive to succeed, and our students continue to rise to that challenge every single day.
