Our Sydney is at it again! 🧬🔬
She’s diving deeper into biology by learning through the dissection of different animals with SSS Tutor, Mr. Rob! She is sharing her knowledge with us! This is a huge accomplishment because it’s well outside of her comfort zone, and we’re so proud of her for embracing the challenge.
Sydney continues to prove that growth happens when you’re willing to do hard things. We have no doubt she is destined for amazing things, and we can’t wait to see where her journey takes her.
Way to go, Sydney! We are proud of you!

Always a great moment to discover one of our rising college students receiving guidance from Mr. Rob in the BSCC SSS Lab for additional biology tutoring and dissection practice! So proud of Sydney for her dedication and commitment to learning. She has a bright future ahead, and we can’t wait to see all she accomplishes.

🌎❤️ What an incredible week! 🌎❤️
Our Upward Bound students traveled through Tennessee, Arkansas, Oklahoma, Texas, Louisiana, and Mississippi making unforgettable memories every step of the way. Along the journey, we learned so much, enjoyed hands-on and interactive experiences, discovered fascinating places, and took part in unique opportunities that made this trip truly one of a kind.
More importantly, we laughed together, grew together, and built friendships that will last a lifetime. This adventure may be over, but the memories and lessons will remain with us forever.

🌊What an incredible day for our Upward Bound students!🐠
Several Louisiana stops were made, but our favorite was… the Shreveport Aquarium! We explored this interesting place where learning came to life through hands-on experiences. Students discovered fascinating facts about sea anemones, stingrays, baby sharks, starfish, jellyfish, and a variety of other ocean animals while learning about their habitats, adaptations, and unique characteristics. They even had the opportunity to touch all of these sea creatures! It was a fascinating experience!
From beautiful marine life to exotic plants, every exhibit offered something new to learn. The students stayed engaged, asked great questions, and gained knowledge in a fun and memorable way.
Most importantly, we laughed together, strengthened friendships, made new ones, and created memories that will last a lifetime.
Our Upward Bound students continue to impress us with their curiosity, enthusiasm, and willingness to learn. We are so proud of this amazing group! 🦈🪼🐠

What an incredible day with our Upward Bound students! 🎉🎉🎉We packed so much learning, history, adventure, and fun into one day!
Our adventure began at the famous State Line Texarkana Post Office, where students had the unique opportunity to stand in two states at the same time—Texas and Arkansas! It’s the only post office in the United States that serves as both a Texas and an Arkansas post office.
Next, we stepped back in time at the Museum of Regional History before touring the breathtaking Ace of Clubs House. This one-of-a-kind home amazed everyone with its beautiful architecture, rich history, and unique features—including a tambour door that pulls down from the top! Every room had a story to tell, making it a truly unforgettable experience.
Our next stop was an exclusive tour of the historic Municipal Auditorium, where music legends like Elvis Presley, Fats Domino, Johnny Cash, Roy Orbison, and George Jones once performed. In fact, Elvis performed only twice with Johnny Cash. Once was at the Municipal Auditorium in Texarkana, Arkansas and the other was in Amory, Mississippi. Standing in such an iconic venue while learning about its incredible past and exciting future was something our students won’t soon forget.
From exploring history to making memories, today was filled with discovery, laughter, and hands-on learning. We are so proud of these amazing students for embracing every opportunity and making the most of this unforgettable adventure!
