💥💥💥BE THE FRIEND💥💥💥
If you can’t be kind, be quiet.
You never know who desperately
needs a friend.
Not everyone returns to a loving home.
Always choose kindness!
Be the reason someone feels included!

🎶 We are so proud of two of our very own Upward Bound students, Gracie & Savannah! 🎶
This past Saturday, they participated in the Mississippi State University Honors Band Competition—and we couldn’t be more proud!
We are proud of them for all they do on a regular basis, but we are especially proud that they chose to step outside their comfort zones, challenge themselves, and take part in such a highly esteemed band program.
It takes courage, dedication, and a willingness to grow to put yourself out there and try something new. These two students continue to show us that they are willing to do just that!
Congratulations! We are so proud of you both and can’t wait to see where your talents take you! 💙🎶👏

Upward Bound and Talent Search had the opportunity to participate in our annual BSCC event, where we shared handouts with attending high school students and connected with other BSCC faculty and staff.
We enjoyed meeting new prospective students, answering questions, and sharing the many opportunities available to help students reach their college and career goals. 💙
It’s not too late! If you know a high school student who dreams of attending college, encourage them to apply for Upward Bound today!
You can never go wrong when you’re willing to invest in yourself, pursue your goals, and work toward becoming the best version of yourself. 🎓✨
