is a federally funded program provided at NO COST to low income families living in Ravalli County. The program serves 0-5 year olds and pregnant mothers through a high-quality child development curriculum. Ravalli Head Start is our pre-school program serving 3 & 4 year olds. Classes are 4 hours a day, 4 days a week, mid-September through mid-May at the Hamilton and North Valley (Stevensville) Centers. Ravalli Early Head Start serves expectant mothers and children from birth to age 3. This is a year-round program designed to meet the special strengths and needs of each family. There are 3 Early Head Start options:
Prenatal: Designed to offer bi-weekly home visits focused on the health and wellness of the expectant mother. Helping mom and family to prepare for their unborn child and to feel confident and ready to parent. Home Based: focuses on child development and parent-child interaction through weekly home visits. Center Based: NO COST childcare services Monday-Friday from 8am-3pm. Parents must be working or in school full-time for children to qualify for center services. participates in the Montana State food program CACFP:
