Come visit us at Building Blocks Hamden. We are having an Open House on May 30th, and we would love for you to come see our classrooms, meet some of our teachers, and get a real feel for our little community. On Friday, the children in Twos B enjoyed gardening alongside one of their classmate's parents, as they dug, planted, watered, and explored nature together. These simple hands-on experiences help children build curiosity, confidence, and early learning skills while strengthening outdoor connections. Through gardening, our peers discover how plants grow and learn to care for the world around them in a fun, engaging, and sensory-rich environment.

We have had so many busy little bees in our school! From using our creative imaginations to make our own bees, to decorating honeycombs, exploring how honey is sticky just like contact paper, and even going on a bee hunt...we are busy, busy, busy!

From exploring all about our Earth last week to the Galaxy this week, we wanted to share all of our out of this world activities.

Earth Day (Week) Appreciation Post

Our teachers were hard at work last week, really planning activities for the classes highlighting all of the different ways that we can learn and take care of our Earth. From paper making, to planting, to "pond" clean up, to sensory projects, to recycled art, our classes were just full of love for our planet.

Over the weekend, a few weather-optimistic participants joined us for our Canal Walk cleanup. It was great to get out there and help to clean up our neighborhood. We are definitely planning to gather together again in the future. Thanks to those who were able to join us!

It was an absolute joy to see the children experiencing the other rooms and seeing our fabulous rainforest with their families.
