Twenty-two years ago, on a clear September morning, the world changed forever. We all remember precisely where we were and what we were doing when the horrific images of airplanes crashing into the World Trade Center filled our screens. The skyline of one of our greatest cities was forever altered (and so were our hearts). Today, we remember and honor the nearly 3,000 lives lost that day.
The real tragedy of 9/11 lies in the stories of lives cut short, of dreams never realized, and of families torn apart. We remember the firefighters, the police officers, the first responders, and the ordinary citizens who became heroes in an instant. Their bravery and selflessness in the face of danger testify to America's indomitable spirit.
From the ashes of that day, a new spirit emerged - unity, resilience, and determination. Our nation came together like never before, bound by shared grief and purpose. We saw an outpouring of love and support - not just within our borders, but from people all over the world.
Even in our darkest hours, the American spirit prevails. Diversity is our
strength. Together, we are stronger than any force that seeks to divide us.
πΊπΈMay we always remember and stand united.
