Dear Members,Trainers, and Friends,

I would like to update everyone of the 2022- 2023 South East Hunter Association status. As many of you know we were unable to offer our shows this year. We did make arrangements with The Fieldstone show organization to have the Spring II, May 18 – 22, show make up for one of the spring shows. Those shows were double point to compensate for cancelling the spring show. The appropriate divisions they offered will count toward our annual high point awards program. These classes and divisions have been listed on the web site. Also please check out the list of our other affiliated shows and we hope you have or will support them.

We are working to update all these standings as soon as possible. My apologies, we have had changes in our staffing positions and this has put us behind.

We are still planning to hold our SEHA awards banquet at the Lakeside Villa in Halifax. The date has yet to be decided.

To address the many inquiries regarding the finals this year we are very disappointed that we will not be able to hold the finals on our usual September date but we are working on the possibility of holding the finals at a later date.

I have spoken with numerous members and trainers and they were all very enthusiastic about this possibility.

If we can not plan a finals this year we will be rolling over all the current 2022 memberships, medal qualifying will roll over as well, into the 2023 show season.

We would like any suggestions or input regarding this and we are thinking of the finals being affiliated with NEHC & MHC or just running independently. Again we would appreciate your input.

The Board also has had a major shift in members. A number of our long stand-ing board have moved on. Everyone’s lives just seem to have gotten so busy. If anyone would be interested in becoming a board member I would like to hear from you. In closing I, on behalf of the board thank everyone for their continued support of South East Hunter.

We will work hard to keep everyone updated on the fall plans.

The Finals Ring is ready to go!! 7:30 AM start

Looks like we’re going to have a great turn out tomorrow and the weather looks fantastic!

Due to the large number of entries for our FINALS ring, we plan on starting at 7:30 AM instead of 8 AM.

Hand walking will be available in the indoor from 6:30 until 7:15 AM.

The outdoor ring will start at 8:00 am.

We look forward to seeing everyone!
