Your first opportunity to test drive one of the vehicles being offered through RevUp Blaine is tomorrow, 2 - 6 p.m., at the Ore Wagon Museum in Ketchum! If you can't make it tomorrow, you'll have another opportunity to test drive the EVs on Saturday, May 13, 9 a.m. - 2 p.m., at the Community Campus in Hailey. The Community School's environmental class' Chevy S10 converted electric vehicle will also be on display to give you a more detailed understanding of EVs. We look forward to seeing you there and answering any questions you have about electric vehicles and/or the RevUp Blaine program.

Last week we had the opportunity to chat with locals Ann Christensen Chevrolet Volt owner, and Sindy Burke, BMW i3 owner, about their electric vehicles. Both EV owners mentioned that they love the quietness of their vehicles, the smooth driving, as well as the limited trips (if any!) to the gas station.

The advantages to owning an electric vehicle are abundant. However, we can't deny that the possible $7,500 credit is icing on top of the cake. We encourage all potential electric vehicle buyers to take advantage of the credit while it is still in place.

From April 1 through November 17, Idaho Power is offering an incentive to Idaho Power residential customers in Blaine County who purchase an EV through RevUp Blaine. Qualifying customers may apply for an incentive of up to $300 to offset the purchase and installation cost of one Level 2 home charging station. Funding is limited to the first 30 participants.
