Sister Cities Of Hagerstown

Sister Cities Of Hagerstown Sister Cities of Hagerstown is a non-profit organization created to raise awareness of both towns.

On October of 2013 Mike Keifer of Hagerstown, MD had an idea of creating programs that link both Hagerstown, MD and Hagerstown, IN. After meeting with the City Counsel and Mayor in 2013 the proclamation was read in city hall. In August of 2014, Mike traveled to Hagerstown Indiana to participate in Jubilee Days and finalize the proclamation of the two towns. After only two years additional programs

have been added that support a pen pal program for our local schools and a scholarship fund for both towns.

2019 is going to be a great year for our Sister City relationship. First, I am so proud to announce that we currently have 4 young people from Hagerstown Jr / Sr High School apply for the Sister City Scholarship. Secondly, this July I am returning to Hagerstown Indiana for the fourth time, and this time I will be having several city and state officials joining me for the trip. I hope to see some old friends and make some new ones.
