To all who missed our lunch, many of your names came up. Names like, Charley, Dave, Dale, Steve, steve, Ellen and Jerry; just to mention a few. You can guess who you are. I know that our time together is short and the seating is not ideal for interaction, but those that do make the dinners, all seem to have a good time. Our time on this earth is drawing short, so we are trying to renew and support our friendships. We miss you guys!!!
Judy Young was in attendance after her meeting w/ her cancer Dr. She Was in great spirits and like Bob, is so appreciative of the prayers and support. Bob and Wife Suzie were in attendance and were really looking good and in great spirits. As they have expressed, the support of old friends and associates make so much difference and mean more than you know. We all have so much going on in our lives and it is easy to think that we will see someone in the future, but that is not guarenteed. Just as Kieth Kirkman came all the way from Mich. last month because his wife said he really needed to reconnect w/ his old friends and class mates. (She thanked everyone in attendance for making Keith feel welcomed.)
It was mentioned that Ross Walters is to have his gall bladder removed w/in the next day or two. Also, Kathy is recovering from her broken nose and said she at least does not have the racoon eyes now. As you can ascertain, they also appreciate our prayers and concerns.
As Laurence C. and I were returning home we always have so many reflections of our times in school. Maybe they did not seem so great at the time, but look at how each of us has grown and matured. The genuine thoughts and concerns for each other is very evident. I for one thank all of you for your friendships and pray that I can always be there for you going forward. At a time when it seems that our society is going to hell in a hand bag, family and friendships can mean so much to all.
It was reported that we do not have that many slated for the reunion. It is requested that we help get the word out that it is not to late to attend. They turned in for at least 10 to 12 more reservations so that we could cover late comers. We truly hope that if you are able you will attend. What have you got to lose, a few hrs. that could rekindle old memories and shared history. I for one promise not to give anyone too hard a time. Well there may be a couple of exceptions.
