Notes of Joy is a music group that was founded by Brian Song in November 2014 and is dedicated to serving local community. Our adviser is Stella Xu.
"I first touched a piano when I was 5, and have studied with Stella Xu since I was eight. During that time, I gained a love for the instrument as well as a deep respect for my talented peers. By the time I entered high school, I realized that just practicing for myself was not enough, my music could do so much more if I shared it with my community, especially those in need. That is why I created N
otes of Joy. Now, after three years and fifteen concerts, I have seen the grateful faces and recognized the true impact music can have." -Brian Song

To The Members:
Thank you all so much for the kind words! When I started Notes of Joy in 2014, I never would have predicted how it would grow over four years. I didn't expect to look out over a stage at a sea of faces glistening with contented delight. I couldn't have imagined the energy with which jubilant seniors poured out of the auditoriums to congratulate us and hold conversation about the 2 hours of music we had just performed. Most importantly, I had not yet had the privilege to work with such diligent, motivated, and caring middle and high schoolers who put in the tremendous amounts of time and effort that have made Notes of Joy a reality. Thank you all for your support, and I hope that you will continue to let your beautiful notes run free.
