Bayou View Elementary School is a National Blue Ribbon School located in Gulfport, MS, and serves approximately 600 students in grades K-5. We are a Mississippi "Star School", ranked as MS's highest-performing elementary school (based on 2011 standardized state assessment data), with a QDI of 238. Our curriculum is based upon the Common Core State Standards, a national initiative adopted by the Gu

lfport School District for 2011-2012, in all grades (K-12). Our staff is committed to rigor, relevance, and relationships...we accept each new student where they are academically, and take them where they need to be, and beyond. All of our students receive instruction in all the standard academic disciplines, including art, music, library sciences, and physical education. Fourth and fifth grade students may enroll in strings class, which is taught two days per week, and feeds into our district's internationally-acclaimed secondary orchestra program.

We’ve added an extra incentive to our Quest Spaghetti Fundraiser!

One family from each grade level will win 6 FRONT ROW seats to an upcoming grade-level musical PLUS a VIP parking spot! That's right—no searching for a parking spot and no racing for a good seat. Your VIP spots will be waiting for you! If you have children in multiple grades, your family name will be entered into each applicable grade-level drawing. You may also split your 6 seats between musicals. For example, 3 seats for the Kindergarten musical and 3 seats for the 4th Grade musical.

Plates may be ordered through Monday, 9/14. If you would like to make an in-kind donation instead, please indicate that on your order envelope. Be sure to list ALL student names so we can enter your family into the correct grade-level drawings. Donated plates will be offered to local families in need.

Winners will be drawn Tuesday morning during announcements! Please send cash or a check made out to Bayou View Elementary with "Quest Spaghetti Dinner" on the memo line.

Join us Tuesday, September 15 for a GRAND evening of art, family, and dinner! Since we will not have a Grandparents’ Lunch this year, this is the perfect opportunity to celebrate together! Create art with your grandchild(ren), view featured student artwork, enjoy readings and monologues, listen to student musicians, and top off the evening with dinner!

Our QUEST Department will be selling spaghetti plates for $10 each, with $10 off orders of 6+ plates! Choose to dine in or take out.

Preorder forms went home today and are due Friday, 9/11 by 3:00 p.m. You may pay with cash or check made payable to Bayou View Elementary with “Quest Spaghetti Dinner” on the memo line.

We hope to see you for a GRAND night at BVE! The Grand Night of the Arts is from 5:00 to 6:00, and the Spaghetti Plates can be picked up between 5:00 and 7:00.
