What should a national policy for responsible AI use in K-12 education look like?

➡️ It should emphasize human relationships and judgment.

➡️ It should protect the learning process, while allowing students to build skills for appropriate use.

➡️ It should preserve students’ and educators’ right to refuse to use the technology.

That’s according to a group of high school students representing all 50 states who spent three days creating, debating, and voting on a framework for what they believe AI use in schools should look like.

An absolute honor to be a part of the very first Coastal Spotlight Summer Youth Camp at Orange Beach Performing Arts Center! Grace Stanton and Stacie Brane are a powerhouse team. They assembled 46 extremely creative individuals who share my values for this work and immersed me in the magic of theatre with 70 students for 10 days. 25 years ago a student gave me my favorite theatre quote by Stanislavski —"Love the art in yourself, and not yourself in the art". This camp embodied this philosophy, and I HAD THE BEST TIME!🥳🥳🥳🥳
