We love getting the opportunity to participate in the Child Nutrition Internship Program here at Gulf Shores Middle School! Through this program, students get hands-on experience working alongside our incredible GSCNP staff while learning about teamwork, responsibility, and food service operations.

Recently, our students helped with preparing fresh, homemade biscuits, giving them a real-world look at how school nutrition programs operate behind the scenes. Shout-out to Charlotte Mile and Glouria Tartabini, pictured helping make it happen!

So proud of our students for stepping up, learning new skills, and making waves in our school community.

We’re excited to share that Gulf Shores Middle School is now serving fresh, homemade biscuits thanks to the hard work and dedication of our amazing GSCNP staff!

GSMS Peer Helpers put together treat bags filled with candy and handwritten encouragement notes to support and motivate their peers as they prepare for an upcoming test.

I am so proud of our 2025-2026 Peer Helpers! We had an amazing training day where students built valuable skills to support their classmates, strengthen connections, and help create a welcoming environment at GSMS. They worked hard, learned a lot, and had plenty of fun along the way.

A big thank you to the Alabama Gulf Coast Sports Center for letting us use their fantastic space and to Beach Bumz Café for the delicious food that kept us energized throughout the day.

This group of student leaders is ready to make a difference, and I can’t wait to see all the great things they will accomplish this year!
