About the American Etiquette Association (AEA)

The American Etiquette Association (AEA) is a nationally recognized organization dedicated to promoting civility, respect, and confidence through modern etiquette education. With a mission to instill timeless values in a contemporary world, the AEA empowers individuals to lead with kindness, communicate with clarity, and present themselves with poise. Coach Training & Credentialing for Grades 5–8

One of AEA’s flagship initiatives is its Coach Training & Credentialing Program, designed specifically for professionals who wish to teach etiquette and social skills to children in grades 5 through 8—a pivotal stage for developing confidence, self-awareness, and interpersonal skills. Program Highlights:

Developmentally Appropriate Curriculum
Coaches receive in-depth training on AEA’s age-specific etiquette curriculum, which covers essential topics such as respectful communication, table manners, personal presentation, digital courtesy, and empathy in peer relationships. Blended Learning Model
Training includes interactive online modules, live virtual workshops, and optional in-person sessions to ensure coaches are well-equipped to engage middle-grade students in dynamic, relatable ways. Instructional Strategies
The program emphasizes child-centered teaching techniques, including storytelling, role-playing, games, and hands-on activities that make etiquette fun and memorable for pre-teens. National Credentialing
Upon completion of the program, coaches receive an AEA Certified Youth Etiquette Coach credential—signifying their expertise in teaching etiquette to youth and their alignment with AEA’s high standards of professionalism and ethics. Ongoing Support & Resources
Certified coaches gain access to exclusive lesson plans, coaching materials, community forums, and continuing education opportunities to stay current and inspired in their practice. Whether working in schools, community programs, or private settings, AEA-certified coaches are helping shape the next generation of confident, courteous, and compassionate young leaders.
