Red Hussars in the house Kicking off our 45th reunion!

The Red Hussars were the first all-girl drum and bugle corps in Texas. They were organized in 1929 by Elizabeth "Smitty" Smith, the head of the TJ PE Department.
The corps made their debut on September 27, 1930. They marched at games, parades, fairs, and civic activities for 63 years.

Good morning! Had a great time at the TJ 1978 Social at The Wheelhouse. Over 50 classmates attended. Several out of towners and several 1st timers! It was wonderful seeing everyone!

Tonight, 7pm at the Groves KC Hall, time to get this party started. The 🥁Red Hussars🎺will perform at 730pm and then at 8pm our DJ will get the music going so bring your boogie shoes! 🎵Play that funky music white boy🎵 and 🎵we are gonna party like its 1999🎵

Be sure to bring snacks for your table. BYOB. Set ups and beer will be sold at KC Hall.
Looking forward to a great time and making memories with all of YOU! Christel ❤

Update on the golf tournament for Saturday, Oct 21st:

It was touch and go there due to scheduling conflicts at various golf courses, but we were able to work it out. Bayou Din has another tournament at the same time but they were able to fit us in. We will have a shotgun start at 8:00 am at Bayou Din. The cost is $42 which covers green and cart fees and a little extra to cover First and second place team awards plus a closest to the hole and long drive. Yes, since we are all old, we will be playing from the Senior tees. We also invite any TJ grads, not just our class, or spouses of grads to play also. See y'all at the reunion.
