This year Our Lady Star of the Sea celebrates 70 years, and an anniversary like this one belongs to the many people who have given their time, talent, and heart to our school. Today, we want to recognize one of them. After eighteen years, Danielle Brousseau is stepping down as chair of the school auction.
Danielle took on the role when her daughter, Elizabeth, was a student here. Long after Elizabeth graduated, Danielle stayed. Year after year, she brought enthusiasm, energy, and leadership to the auction, continually finding ways to keep the event fresh, thoughtful, and running seamlessly. Alongside her every step of the way was her husband, Tim, whose steady support made it all possible.
In her final year, Danielle once again set a new standard. This past spring, the auction raised more than $300,000, a record in the auction’s history. She leaves behind a strong foundation built over eighteen years, with a committee ready to carry her work forward.
While Danielle is stepping down from this role at Star, she is certainly not stepping away from fundraising. Through OnPointe Consulting, she continues to help nonprofits and community organizations throughout the area create successful, meaningful fundraising events.
Her philosophy says it best: Fundraising doesn't happen by chance. It happens by design. Danielle brings that intentionality to every organization she serves, aligning strategy, operations, and guest experience to help bring their missions to life.
Danielle, thank you for eighteen years of leadership, dedication, and heart. Thank you for helping our community shine so brightly. As Star celebrates 70 years and sets out on the next seventy, we are grateful you were part of the voyage — and excited to see the impact you will continue to make.
