We’re incredibly grateful to U.S. Bank for choosing the Dallas Center-Grimes Education Foundation as the recipient of a $9,000 community donation in celebration of their new Grimes branch. Congratulations on your ribbon cutting, and welcome to the community!

One of the things we value most is partnering with organizations that share our commitment to investing in the next generation. In that same spirit, we’re excited to pay it forward.

🎓 $3,000 of this gift will fund scholarships for DCG students pursuing their post-secondary educational goals.

🛠️ $6,000 will be donated to the DCG Career and Technical Education (CTE) program, supporting hands-on learning opportunities that prepare students for successful careers.

🎓 Ice cream with impact? Yes, please.

🐛 🌱 Gummy Garden Snowstorm Success!

One of our favorite silent auction items this year was the chance to create your own snowstorm at Al’s Dairy Freeze—and the winning combination, Gummy Garden, made its debut in May!

Thanks to all the local patrons who stopped by to try it, Al’s Dairy donated $95 toward scholarships for DCG seniors!

A big shoutout to Al’s Dairy for their creative partnership and continued support of our mission to fund the future.

Meet our May speciality snowstorm: Gummy Garden 🐛🍦 — a playful twist on the classic dirt & worms treat that’s as fun as it is delicious.

This snowstorm blends crunchy Oreos, gooey gummy worms, and rich hot fudge into your choice of ice cream. It’s messy, chocolatey, and packed with nostalgic flavor in every bite. This treat is extra special — and even better, it can be made gluten free so more people can enjoy it. 👏🏻

Created and named by Kadence Barnes and her parents. They were the winners at the RED Dinner silent auction last fall. The cherry (or worm) on top? A portion of every Gummy Garden sold helps support the DCG RED Foundation for student scholarships, so you can treat yourself while giving back!

Open 12-9 daily with indoor/outdoor seating and a convenient drive thru. We can’t wait to see you soon! 🍦☀️

As you prepare for college, trade school, certification programs, apprenticeships, or whatever comes next, we'd love your help showing the impact of DCGEF scholarships.

We're creating a video series featuring real students and real experiences, and we're looking for a few scholarship recipients willing to share short, casual videos this fall.

Ideas could include:
📚 Shopping for books or supplies
🏫 Exploring campus or your classroom
🛠️ Getting started with tools, equipment, or training
💬 Sharing how your scholarship is helping you pursue your goals

No scripts. No professional equipment. No pressure. Just authentic moments from your next chapter.
