Six modules. One connected learning journey.

We begin with stress, regulation, resilience, and learning. From there, we move outward—to educator sustainability, relationships, classroom culture, learning design, challenging moments, and finally to the communities and systems that shape our work.

Across the six modules, we will keep returning to a set of shared questions:

What are we noticing?
What helps people regulate and connect?
What strengthens resilience?
Where can we create more safety, agency, and belonging?
What do we want to practice?
What happens when we try it?

The course is designed as a movement between Core Concepts and Core Practices: learning, noticing, practicing, reflecting, applying, and sharing.

If this learning journey speaks to you, we would be glad to have you with us. Register: https://bit.ly/2026RERC

I'm so excited to begin offering this course for educators with my friend and colleague, Mary Scholl. We've offered several iterations of this before, and this time it's open to all educators who want to explore the topic of what it takes to create resilient, trauma-informed learning spaces.

Come join us!

What helps us continue to teach with presence, curiosity, and care when the people in our classrooms—including ourselves—are carrying stress?

What helps learners feel safe enough to participate, take risks, make mistakes, connect with others, and learn?

These questions are at the heart of Resilient Educators, Resilient Classrooms, a 14-week international Learning Circle created collaboratively by the Institute for Collaborative Learning (I4CL) and English for Life Academy (EFLA).

Across six modules, we’ll explore resilience, regulation, relationships, classroom safety, agency, compassionate communication, repair, educator well-being, and the conditions that support meaningful learning.

This is more than a course about what we know. It is a space to practice, reflect, connect, and consider what these ideas might look like in our own classrooms and communities.
October 5, 2026–January 24, 2027

If this sounds like a learning journey you would value, we would be glad to welcome you.

Oh Guyana, you challenged me, you stretched me, you made me cry (a little), laugh (a lot), and get comfortable with uncomfortable. You taught me everything will happen just now and you can never have too many lunches in a day. You put wonderful people in my path and gave me stories to will be impossible to retell. Thank you thank you. 🇬🇾🇬🇾🇬🇾

Professionally, the first half of 2025 was filled with challenge and fun.

Now, as the second half of the year unfolds, I’m ready to dig into a new adventure: a 10-month contract to be a Regional Literacy Specialist as a Peace Corps response volunteer in Guyana.

Stay tuned for upcoming adventures! 🇬🇾🇬🇾
