📚💛 Story time is one of our favorite parts of the day in the Infant B classroom!

Reading together helps our youngest learners build early language and communication skills as they listen to new words, sounds, and rhythms. During group story time, children practice important social-emotional skills such as sitting with friends, taking turns, and learning to focus on a shared activity. They are also developing listening skills, attention span, and early literacy foundations that will support future learning.

Our teachers bring stories to life through expression, pictures, and interaction, helping spark curiosity and a lifelong love of books. We love watching our little learners explore the world one story at a time! 📖✨

☀️🛝 Outdoor play is always an adventure at Cadence Academy!

From climbing over the tunnel to crawling through and playing together inside, our children were busy exploring, laughing, and learning all at once. Experiences like this help build gross motor skills as children climb, crawl, balance, and move their bodies in new ways.

Playground exploration also supports spatial awareness and problem-solving as they figure out how to move through the space safely and creatively. Most importantly, moments like these encourage social-emotional growth—sharing space, taking turns, working together, and building friendships through play.

Outdoor play gives children the opportunity to build confidence, strengthen their bodies, and use their imaginations—all while having so much fun together. 💙

🧱✨ Our two-year-olds had so much fun creating with bristle blocks!

Building independently with bristle blocks is more than just fun—it’s a great learning experience. As the children connect, stack, and design their own creations, they are strengthening their fine motor skills and hand strength, which support future writing and self-help skills.

This open-ended activity also encourages problem-solving as they figure out how pieces fit together and how to make their structures stand tall. While building, they’re using their creativity and imagination to turn simple blocks into their own unique designs.

Independent building also supports focus, concentration, and confidence as the children make choices, test ideas, and feel proud of what they create all on their own.

🌊🎨 Our classroom has been busy creating ocean-inspired artwork this week!

Through large-scale drawing and collaborative art, the children are building so many important skills while having fun. As they draw sea creatures, waves, and underwater scenes together, they are strengthening their fine motor skills by gripping crayons and making purposeful marks. They’re also practicing hand-eye coordination, creativity, and self-expression as they bring their ideas to life on paper.

Working together on shared artwork encourages cooperation, communication, and turn-taking as the children talk about their ideas, share materials, and create side by side. Activities like these also help develop language skills as they describe what they’re drawing and learn new vocabulary about ocean animals and habitats.

We love watching their imaginations grow while they learn through play, art, and exploration! 🐳🦀🪼💙

Our summer campers had an amazing time on their field trip to Emler Swim School today! 🏊☀️
The campers learned important swim safety skills, built confidence in the water, and enjoyed a fun free swim with friends. A huge thank you to the General Manager and the entire Emler’s staff for making the experience both educational and exciting for our little swimmers. Your team did a fantastic job keeping the class fun, engaging, and informative!
