The first three weeks of the school year have been a whirlwind. It has been an absolute pleasure getting to know your children.

Good afternoon!
We've had a great first couple of weeks. It's been a pleasure getting to know your child. Attached you will find the September Newsletter for first grade. All three of the first grade teachers send one combined newsletter at the beginning of each month so that no matter who your child's teacher(s) is/are, you will be well informed.

In addition to the information in the newsletter, we would like to give a reminder about two things.
1) Water bottles. If you could send a leak proof reusable water bottle to school with your child's name on it that would really be helpful. We do not have a drinking fountain in our classroom so having a bottle at their table is really the easiest for us.

2) Snacks- Each day students have a chance to eat a snack at the beginning of their recess time. Snack time is a little different in first grade. We have students bring their own snacks from home each day. If there is any food left from breakfast, like apples, we do save those for students who did not bring a snack; however, there is no guarantee that we will have these available every day. If your child tends to get hungry in the afternoon, you might want to make sure that they have a snack in their backpacks.

1st week of school. We practiced numbers, Chinese classroom vocabulary, centers and routines. Follow the school rules, enjoy being together, and learn with one another.

It was so nice to see everyone at the open house for the 2026-2027 school year. We are looking forward to welcoming our students on Monday.

Please double check for take home book bags and library books. You’ll also want to be sure your child has their back packs and that they are empty. Thanks!

Hey parents- your kids should sleep good tonight after our field trip! Please be sure to send them to school with an empty backpack for the rest of the week so that they have room to take home all of their stuff over the next few days. Thanks!
