This post is long overdue…

So, life happens. That is why we didn’t do much this year as Bright. In 2023, we found out that we were moving to a city two hours away, leaving our friends, family and networking behind. The opportunity we’ve been praying for the last 8 years finally became true, so both my husband and I took a step forward and moved our family to North Augusta.

This has been a truly unusual year with many big changes. Moving, traveling internationally with our kids without hubby, moving (then getting ready to move again in a few weeks), starting to teach full time again, kids starting a new school, finding two houses to live in less than 5 months apart and dealing with all the little things that come with these things…

It’s been exhausting and rewarding at the same time.

But, some things had to be put on pause. Bright was one of them. We are on a break.

I hope that in the Summer we can resume of our activities.

I love my business and working with clients. So, I hope I can continue to push forward, grow and help others grow as well.

Our CEO, Clarissa Gainey was invited to speak at the Latinx Student Summit in Charleston, hosted by the South Carolina Commission for Minority Affairs at R.B Stall High School .

We had a good crowd and Brazilian students were super thrilled to hear an inspirational talk in Portuguese.

Clarissa talked about her own journey in the U.S. and how she finally achieved a sense of belonging in America.

2022 has been a good year for my business. I got more clients and revenue than my previous years, so this makes me very happy. 😁😁😁

Although the year hasn't finished yet, I'm already thinking about 2023 and how I can replicate my successes and scale my business. So, I've decided that next year, I'm going to get certified as a Women-Owned Business. This is not a quick process, but it's worth it.

Today, I was networking at the BMW Supplier Diversity Conference and it was great! I love that old saying that says that “no man is an island”. Since I’ve become a mother and a business owner, these words became almost like a mantra to me. Here’s to good networking and growth! 🥂

Whenever you come downtown stop by and get some popcorn. It’s the BEST one around! Oh, and must I say… I designed this bag? ❤️❤️❤️
