Big opening week win for Greenup County Football!

Today, some of our newest high schoolers took an exciting step as GCHS welcomed the Class of 2030 for Freshman Orientation!

It was a day to explore, connect, ask questions and get a feel for what the next four years will bring. We captured a few faces along the way, but today was about every member of the Class of 2030 beginning their high school journey.

We’re excited to see where that journey takes you over the next four years. Make it yours, Class of 2030 — and make it a great one!

Every student’s GC Advantage looks a little different.

For Kelsie Willis and Jordan Willis, recent GC graduates, it is music, agriculture and the opportunities that helped connect their interests to their future goals.

Through music at Greenup County, they found opportunities to connect with other students, build relationships with teachers and give back to the community.

Through their agriculture classes, they also gained valuable knowledge and earned certifications that will help them as they continue working toward their future plans.

For Kelsie and Jordan, those experiences matter because they both plan to become veterinarians — and the agriculture pathway helped give them a strong foundation for what comes next.

That is their GC Advantage.

McKell Middle: 7:55 AM – 3:00 PM

For Addison Branim, Class of 2027, it is dual credit opportunities, Jessie Stuart Institute (JSI) and the chance to get a head start on her future while still in high school.

Through the dual credit opportunities available at Greenup County High School, Addison is building college experience, preparing for the real world and working toward an associate degree that can help open doors after graduation.

As part of Jessie Stuart Institute, she says the experience is helping her become more prepared for what comes next — whether that is college, a career or the work field she chooses to pursue.

That is Addison’s GC Advantage.
