The Kentucky Innovative Learning Network is growing!

The network is a partnership between local school districts and the Kentucky Department of Education (KDE), providing a shared professional learning space for education leaders dedicated to creating vibrant learning experiences and accelerating innovation.

KDE recently welcomed 31 new districts to the Kentucky Innovative Learning Network as the network has grown by 59% this year.

This recognition is so well deserved! Every single one of these girls has pushed through everything that’s been thrown their way this season and continues to prove that no matter what challenges they face, they REFUSE to be kept down!

Congratulations, girls! Keep working hard, keep fighting, and keep believing in yourselves. Let’s finish this season strong and see it through to the very end!

SCHOOL FLU SHOT CLINICS — OCTOBER 26

UK King’s Daughters will visit our GC schools on Monday, October 26, to offer flu vaccinations to students!

If you would like your child to participate, please complete the online consent form using the QR code or website on the flyer, where you’ll also find your school’s clinic time. Parent/guardian consent is required for students to receive a flu vaccine at school.

Thank you for helping keep our students healthy and ready to learn!

Welcome to the GC Family, Coach Evans!

We’re excited to welcome Michael “Mike” Evans as our new wrestling coach!

Coach Evans brings 17 years of experience coaching wrestlers at every level, including state and national champions and wrestlers who have placed at the world level. He is dedicated to helping each athlete reach their individual potential, wherever they are in their wrestling journey. He’s ready to bring that same commitment to GC and help our Musketeers grow in skill, confidence and determination.

What means just as much is his commitment to the students he coaches. Coach Evans believes wrestling teaches lessons that reach well beyond the mat—hard work, discipline and perseverance. He takes pride in showing up for his “wrestling kids,” supporting them through challenges, celebrating their successes and being someone they can count on.

Outside of wrestling, he is a general contractor, husband and father. We’re excited to have him join GC and look forward to what’s ahead for our wrestling program!
