We started our PD by asking teachers to create a “Portrait of a Mathematician”—what do you want students to say, do, and become in your classroom?

These portraits became our anchor throughout PD, helping us connect every new strategy and practice back to one essential question:

“Will this help create the mathematicians we want to see?”

Because great instruction starts with a clear picture of the learner we’re working to develop. 💡

PLCs From Day One 📚✨

A new school year is just getting started—and now is the perfect time to make sure your PLC plan is solid from the start.

PLCs shouldn’t just be meetings on the calendar. They should create intentional time for teachers to collaborate, examine student learning, respond to data, and plan next steps that move students forward.

When the PLC process is clear, consistent, and focused on student learning, collaboration becomes more than a conversation—it becomes a system for improving instruction. 🎯

Don’t wait until the first round of assessments to figure out your PLC process.

Six days. One goal. Better teaching. Better learning. 🎯✨

And the teacher feedback says it all! From intentional lesson planning to the power of meaningful feedback, our teachers didn’t just learn—they reflected, collaborated, planned, practiced, and grew.

The final day brought it full circle: teachers created lessons and shared them with colleagues for feedback. That’s professional learning that moves into practice. 💪🏽📚

6 days of PD. Countless “aha!” moments. Real impact.
