đ¨ 5 NATURAL HAIR MYTHS I NEED YOU TO STOP BELIEVING FOR YOUR BEST HAIR YET! đ¨
Some of the things we were taught about natural hair sound good⌠but theyâre keeping you from getting the healthy, thriving hair you want. đđą
â MYTH #1: âIf you have a TWA, you donât need a trim.â
âď¸ FALSE. Short hair can still develop split ends, uneven ends, and damaged areas. Your length doesnât determine whether your hair needs a trim.
â MYTH #2: âYour hair grows more when you leave it dirty.â
𧟠FALSE. Your hair doesnât need to be dirty to grow! A clean, properly cared-for scalp is important for a healthy hair routine. đż
â MYTH #3: âYou donât need protein treatments every 6 weeks.â
𧏠This one depends on your hair! Protein treatments can help strengthen and reinforce the hair, especially when your hair is chemically treated, color-treated, heat-damaged, or experiencing excessive breakage. Your hairâs condition should determine your treatment schedule, not a one-size-fits-all rule.
â MYTH #4: âKeratin makes your hair weaker.â
đ¨ NOT necessarily! Keratin is a protein naturally found in your hair. A properly formulated and professionally applied keratin treatment can help improve manageability, smoothness, and reduce frizz. The formula, technique, heat, and your hairâs condition matter.
â MYTH #5: âEverybody doesnât need trims.â
âď¸ Technically, not everyone needs the SAME trimming schedule. But if you have split ends, excessive breakage, single-strand knots, rough ends, or uneven/damaged ends⌠your hair may be telling you itâs time. đ
⨠The goal isnât to follow every natural-hair rule you hear online. The goal is to understand YOUR hair and what it actually needs.
đ SAVE THIS because your hair-care routine deserves facts, not folklore. đą
Send this to somebody who needs to hear it! đđđž
