TQ - Tau Omega Chapter of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc.

On this historic Charter Day, we proudly salute the Mighty Tau Omega Chapter of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc., the oldest graduate chapter in the state of North Carolina and a pillar of excellence in the Mighty Sixth District, chartered on June 15, 1923.

For more than a century, has exemplified the highest ideals of our beloved fraternity through unwavering friendship, brotherhood, dedicated service, and a steadfast commitment to our Four Cardinal Principles: Manhood, Scholarship, Perseverance, and Uplift. Through generations of leadership and community engagement, the chapter has remained a beacon of excellence, impacted countless lives while advanced the vision established by our nineteen charter members.

Tau Omega has stood as a living testament of —friendship, brotherhood, and service. The brothers of Tau Omega have exemplified what it truly means to be Omega men. May our bonds of friendship grow stronger, our commitment to service remains resolute, and our pursuit of excellence continue to inspire future generations.

This day is not only a celebration of longevity, but a tribute to the generations of brothers whose dedication has strengthened the fold of brotherhood, uplifted communities, and preserved a legacy of excellence. May the spirit of unity continue to guide the chapter. We salute the past, celebrate the present, and look boldly toward the future.

The Brothers of Tau Omega successfully completed presented the 6th Annual Tau Omega Health Initiative Fair & Medical Lotto Day on this past Saturday, June 6th at Piedmont Hall.

This community focused event is all about uplifting our community through health, wellness, education, and service. Attendees will have access to FREE health screenings, a American Red Cross blood drive, community vendors, wellness resources, and much more. WE EXCEED OUR BLOOD COLLECTION GOAL FOR ANOTHER YEAR!

We believe strong communities begin with healthy communities, and this initiative is designed to provide valuable resources, encourage healthy living, and bring people together for a day of impact and empowerment.

Meet Dr. Alvin Powell, Chief Medical Officer and provider at TAPM's Family Medicine at Northwood in Greensboro.

Dr. Powell specializes in Internal Medicine and Nephrology and brings decades of experience caring for patients with kidney disease and hypertension. His approach is rooted in clear communication and making sure every patient feels informed, supported, and confident in their care.

The purpose of this event is to raise awareness about Black maternal health by combining maternal wellness education with financial empowerment tools and community resources.

Our overarching goal is to help reduce the mortality rate of Black mothers and babies in our local community through education, advocacy, and increased access to supportive resources.

This is a Family Affair, please join us Saturday Presbyterian Church of the Cross this Saturday at 9:00am for a great opportunity and discussion to build our families. Men we need you there also for the open, judgment free zone discussion about manhood and fatherhood in today’s society!
