Appalachian Helping Hands was established in February 2004 as an interdenominational ministry offering a helping hand to those in need. of their choice.

Appalachian Helping Hands (AHH) is a non-profit, 501(c)3, interdenominational ministry of congregations in the Greene and Cocke County areas of East Tennessee founded to address poverty and economic difficulties in Appalachia. 🌸 AHH June 2026: AHH is open Thursdays & Saturdays 9:00 am - 12:00 pm. Providence Health Care is Thursday, June 11th 8:00 am - 1:00 pm for the uninsured ages 18- 65 with photo id. Jacob’s Well free meals in the Cafeteria Thursday, June 11th 8:00 am - 1:00 pm. Food Distribution Thursday, June 25th 9:00 am. Heads up: AHH Closed July 4th. Backpack Distribution July 23rd & 25th.
