SSS got all shook up in Memphis! We sang the blues on Beale Street. Toured Sun and Stax studios. Visited the National Civil Rights Museum at the historic Lorraine Motel. Learned about graduate programs at the University of Memphis and ate barbecue, barbecue, and more barbecue. Thanks for the memories, Memphis!

SSS had a big time in Nashville! Shout-out to MTSU for hosting a graduate school information session and campus tour on a Sunday! The Tennessee State Capitol and the Parthenon were beautiful. Until next time, Nashville!

Huge THANK YOU to everyone who came out to our Cookies, Cocoa & Career Prep event! 🍪☕✨
We’re so grateful for the amazing support from our Career Services team and our wonderful partners at Tusculum University Library for helping make the night such a success. 💼📚
A special shoutout to the incredible Greeneville community for your generous donations to our professional clothing drive — your support is helping our students step confidently into their futures, dressed for success! 👔👗
And of course… we can’t forget Steve, who clearly took “career prep” personally and went back to his college days as a top-tier suit salesman. We’re still waiting on his commission report. 😆
Thank you all for showing up, giving back, and investing in our students’ success! 💙

In honor of First-Gen day this weekend (Nov. 8th) we’re asking First-Gen students the question:
What does being First-Gen mean to you?
For our first student spotlight we have Janelle Zirger, who answered: “Being first-generation to me means being the most resilient and determined person, because you have to work ten times harder to achieve your goals. SSS has been a great way for me to do that, from my first day freshman year to now as a senior a semester away from graduating. I wouldn’t be the student I am without them!”
