s and legends and even a few residences. In the fall of 2001, we decided to pursue other interests, and the ghosthunting just faded away into memory. In the Fall of 2012, we reformed WISPR and its goals, purely dedicated to paranormal research. Wisconsin Society for Paranormal Research now conducts investigations under the following informal guidelines:

1. Our goals are simple. We know we will never “prove” ghosts are real. When investigating a location we try to do the following:
A. Identify possible mechanical, environmental, or human explanations for reported phenomena. Test Theories and “debunk” if possible. At the same time, assume it “is” haunted and attempt to gather as much evidence as possible. The main forms of evidence WISPR concentrates on is video, audio, and photo. If sufficient evidence is collected to suggest a real haunting, a more in depth background study is conducted. If sufficient evidence points to mechanical, environmental, or human causes, then a detailed explanation is drafted for the clients.

2. Conduct ourselves in an adult professional manner. Even though paranormal investigation is not exactly a “profession”, being a professional is more about how you conduct your business with your clients and the public at large.

3. Keep an open mind. Even though we as a team, do not believe in many practices considered “the norm” by most paranormal investigation groups, we have to keep an open mind simply because no one (at this point in time) can prove their belief is the correct one. This is the problem when your subject of study cannot be physically studied in a laboratory environment.

4. Do “our own thing”. WISPR is not a group that takes from websites, and books as gospel. We have come up with many techniques and uses of equipment that others have not. The rationale for this is simple. “What do I want to test/study/get evidence of”…and then “What tool/method do I feel would work best to accomplish that?” Sometimes it mirrors what others do, sometimes it does not. This way of thinking has been what has led us to find many of the tools we use.

5. We are not, nor do we consider ourselves to be an authority on anything, or better than anyone. We do things the way we do them, because we feel it is the right way. We do our best to be upfront and honest about our accomplishments, as well as our limitations. When dealing with residential clients, we always keep in mind what is best for them. Sometimes, we offer, and get second opinions, from those in the field we feel are qualified to give them. Overall, Wisconsin Society for Paranormal Research will continue to study the subjects of ghosts and spirits, do our best to contribute new methods to try, and do what we feel is right. We enjoy helping out new groups/individual investigators with the right attitude, and still seek the opinions and experiences of those who have put in more time than us. The Ghost Mystery Inc. organization has been incredibly busy over the past couple of years, but never too busy to thank our generous supporters for your time, patience, and interest. When we were initially approached with the idea of launching a television show based on our involvements and adventures our first reaction was to consider how doing so would impact our local communities, public & private clients, places of historic significance, and peer groups within this shared interest of “paranormal” – particularly those here in Wisconsin and Florida. Our primary goals have been, and will continue to be, focused on how our presence, activities, and interactions affect those with which we share this beautiful & historically rich region of the country, and how effectively we can; reach out to help those in need, teach those who want to learn, and influence those who are looking for direction. It is with our best of intentions that we bring the Ghost Mystery Inc. experience to you, the viewer, via the upcoming WISPR TV web show. WISPR proudly presents the perspective of the investigator – exciting events and lackluster moments because, at the end of each episode, we believe this is the only perspective that will leave today’s sophisticated viewers satisfied. It is what it is, and it’s time to bring that darkness into the light. The average WISPR viewer is about “authenticity” and we’re proud to bring the essence of our experiences to life in each of our episodes. We’re forever grateful & thankful for your continued support and, as always, we encourage you to reach out to us in a personal way by joining our ghost hunting group, “liking” our WISPR Media page, joining our Ghost Mystery Inc. WISPR was established in 2000 and remained a very small organization until Spring of 2013. It is from these humble beginnings that WISPR is rooted, and with our unwavering dedication to our client-base, and passion for conducting investigations to the best of our collective ability, we continue to grow. It’s with pride that we can firmly state; the Ghost Mystery Inc. team name is associated with professionalism, dependability, and a solid reputation. We’ve worked hard to get where we are, and we’re thankful to everyone who helped us get here.
